From wispy and sideswept to pin-straight and full, the flirty fringe stole the spotlight at John Galliano, Hermès, Marc Jacobs, and Miu Miu.
GET THE LOOK: Forgo perfectly blunt ends – choppy, layered bangs are more flattering for most face shapes and easier to trim yourself.

The ’80s are having a moment – as evidenced by the recent Debbie Gibson Tiffany Reunion Tour. Also making a comeback: crimped hair (with a softer touch this time), as seen at Costume National and Viktor & Rolf.
GET THE LOOK: Break out the crimper if you kept one from back in the day. If not, crib the styling trick used backstage at Oscar de la Renta: Zigzag one-inch sections of hair around U-shaped bobby pins, then set the wave by clamping down on it with a flatiron. Brush out to lighter-than-air perfection.

Oversize, slightly mussed braids – fashioned across the crown or cascading down the back – transformed manes at Valentino and Ruffian for a sophisticated (not schoolgirl) vibe.
GET THE LOOK: ‘It’s a woven look, not a perfect braid, says Kayley Pak of the John Barrett Braid Bar in NYC, who suggests applying pomade to fingers before braiding to ensure a good grip on hair.

    Great tips.

  • Wish I could have bangs!

  • I love the bangs, however I cannot handle it when it gets a bit too long

  • Love the bangs, but you really need the face shape for it and need to have the time and patience to maintain it!

Have recently started practising some new braiding techniques. Never used to be able to do it myself but I’m getting there.

My friends think I am a chameleon. I have had every colour hair you can think of and all of them look good with my skin colour and bright blue eyes. I have also had numerous styles and love doing something different each time I enter the salon. Love looking like a new sixpence each time I leave there
