Handy hand creams

Tuesday, June 05, 2012   |
As the temperature drops and winter sets in, it's time to pay attention to our hands. Avoid cracked, dry skin and further wrinkles by slathering on one of these hand creams.

Handy hand creams: Sally Hansen, Sorbet, Clicks, Dermalogica, Source, Revlon, Wind Down, Clarins

Sally Hansen Nails & Cuticles Hand Crème, R79

Avoid dry rough hands and cuticles with this Sally Hansen hand cream. With shea butter and nourishing ceramides, your nails and cuticles will be softened and moisturised. The non-greasy formula absorbs easily and even lasts through washing!

Sorbet Hydrating Hand and Nail Cream, R27.99

This ultra-moisturising cream with tangerine, calendula oil, shea butter and vitamin E instantly hydrates after application. The ingredients deeply nourish both hands and cuticles, and thanks to the added ingredient of tangerine, it'll give your skin a boost of vitamin C.

Clicks Age Control Hand Cream, R24.99

Combat anti-ageing – with co-enzyme Q10 (known for its powerful antioxidant and anti-ageing properties) this hand cream helps redefine the appearance of your skin. It moisturises and hydrates, and will also firm up and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Hand and Nail Treatment, R350

An intense treatment cream with botanicals and vitamins, Dermalogica's cream will repair chapped hands while strengthening nails against splitting and peeling. With ingredients like grape seed extract, liquorice root and grapefruit peel, this is definitely one your hands will love.

Source Wild Fig & Goji Berry Hand Cream, R21.99

If you're one for fragrant hand creams, then give this one a try. It has a divine scent of pink pomegranate with hints of other fruits. The wild fig will help moisturise your skin while the goji berry's, which are rich in anti-oxidants, help fight free radicals.

Revlon Nail Care De-Aging Hand Cream with SPF 10, R99.95

Just like we look after our face with a good skincare routine and apply an SPF-laden sunscreen, we too should do this with our hands as they receive just as much (if not more) sun exposure. Minimise sun damage and keep them looking younger with this Revlon hand cream.

Wind Down Hand & Nail Cream, R24.99

Give your hands a dose of daily goodness. With calming lavender, shea butter and bergamot, this hand cream will gently soothe and nourish.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment, R260

Softens hands and strengthens nails, what more could a girl ask for? Clarin's hand cream will protect against chapping and irritation. Enriched with sesame oil, Japanese mulberry and condurango bark, it will help reduce existing age spots and prevent damp palms.
