Had me little facial the other day. The lovely, warm Karen Canning, owner of Lis Spa in Chelsea Wynberg, used products from Moor on my face.
They say: Moor Skin and Body Care products are made using the peat and peat water of the Neydharting Moor in Austria. The peat and peat water from Neydharting Moor contain over 1 000 botanicals, herbs and nutrients – 300 of which have proven anti-ageing properties and are combined with scientifically advanced peptides to create Moor Skin and Body Care products. These products are used in treatments at the world famous Neydharting Healing Spa and are so effective that they have even been endorsed and subsidised by health care plans in five European countries.
BeautySouthAfrica.com says: I have only been using the Repair and Renewal cream for a short while so it’s too soon to tell if it will ‘visibly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles’ but I can say that the scent is as light as the cream: subtle, clean and fresh, and the cream goes on like a cross between a gel and a cream. Feels wonderful on my skin.
And now to the facial: the Therapeutic Facial Mud Mask that is used comes with a warning from Karen: it can start tingling as your face starts to heat up and the magic starts to work. It seems I have pretty tough skin (I come from peasant stock, after all) although Karen kindly called it ‘balanced’ because I didn’t really notice too much heat or tingling. After the mask had done its work, Karen massaged my face and shoulders with The Balm and her gentle fingers – it was divinely relaxing.
Afterwards, my skin felt plump and moisturised. And when I got to the office, as I stepped out of the lift, people who had no idea I had just had a facial, said to me, ‘You are glowing! What have you done to your skin?’ Love that.
Neydharting Moor Repair and Renewal cream, R1 150, is available from select spas.
