Rimmel loving – review

Rimmel lovingRimmel is a brand that brings back so many memories for me; I used to love using their stuff in high school as it was affordable and always had exciting new products. Well, that’s what I thought then – how I wish the products were half as cool and quirky as they are now!

I was sent a bunch of Rimmel products a few weeks back by the ladies at BeautySA and since then have been experimenting with the different shadows and cheek colours.

These are the ones I enjoyed the most:

Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in Smokey Brun

This colour palette is definitely my kinda colours – I am not the most adventurous when it comes to colour shadows, but love wearing something that looks bronzed, slightly shimmery and does the job of accentuating the eyes. This palette does exactly that. I have to say that my favourite thing about all the Rimmel shadows I tried was the shimmer – it was not over the top (like some of my NARS eye colours) but rather subtle and understated.

Rimmels Glam Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in Purple Reign

I couldn’t ignore this palette, especially with the Jubilee weekend et al! These colours are not really my type at all, but I think the layout of the palette is great and, if this suits your skintone and you are after a beautiful plum eye, it is a great selection of light, medium and dark colours.

Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in Keep a Secret

This was my favourite, even though I am a sucker for anything plumping and pretty on the lips! I loved the colour and the texture of this gloss. The applicator was nice, it smells like bubblegum (delish) and looks lovely on the lips. Big win!
