SHISIEDO opened their make-up counter to BeautySA, took us step-by-step through one of their skincare routines and then showed us how to create a great winter make-up look using their fantastic products. From cleansers to brushes, SHISEIDO has it all.
Because Megan was already wearing some foundation, Belinde (SHISEIDO's training manager) cleansed her face first to remove any impurities. The Pureness range was used – it keeps skin shine-free and hydrated.
Step 1: Remove make-up, soften and moisturise.
Products used: Pureness Refreshing Cleansing Sheets,

Step 2: Cleanse the skin
Products used: Deep Cleansing Foam,
R295
Step 3: Softened the skin
Products used: Balancing Softener,
R325
Step 4: Moisturise
Products used: Matifying Moisturizer,
R435 (great for oily prone skin)
Step 5: Care for your eyes
Products used: Eye Moisture Recharge,
R565
Step 6: A little lip care goes a long way
Products used: Lip Conditioner,
R295
Now that Megan's skin was clean and ready, Belinde created the winter look...
First apply a full coverage foundation, Perfect Refining Foundation SPF15,
R440, using the SHISEIDO foundation brush,
R350. This is by far, one of the greatest little brushes I've seen – it's unusual shape had both Megan and I playing with it – and it blended the foundation so well. Then brush cheeks with Luminizing Satin Face Color,
R415, to instantly create timeless glamour.
Fill in the brow area with a matching pencil, and line the eye area with a black liner,
R235.
Belinde's tip: When it comes to applying eyeliner on the top lid, instead of pulling your eye lid out to the sides, using a finger gently pull the lid up from just below the brow bone. Also always remember to look down into a mirror for easier application.
Add colour to the eye area with SHISEIDO's new Cream Eye Shadows,
R320 – they're great to mix and blend with. To make your eyes really pop, coat Perfect Mascara Full Definition,
R290, onto the lashes.
To complete your winter look, lightly dust Bronzing Powder,
R346, onto your face and neck. And vioala, you're done!
