Salon pampering at home

Tuesday, August 14, 2012   |
This month it's all about you. Learning not only how to pamper yourself, but also why. We're going one step further and not only reviewing a new spa treatment each week, but now you can bring these spa products home with you. Because who says you need to actually be in a spa to experience total relaxation?

Salon pampering at home

Mask yourself

A pretty novel idea, the Activator Mask by QMS Medicosmetics, R720, is a deeply moisturising fleece mask that'll refresh stressed, tired and jet-lagged skin. The application is the novel part: drop the Item Tab (the size of Corenza C tablet) into 10ml of the Activator liquid and watch the fleece mask swell. Then apply to your face and wait 10 minutes. The mask contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid and marine collagen, to improve your skin's elasticity and leaving it intensively moisturised and smoothed.

Vibrantly cleansed

To invigorate pale skin, LCN's Spa Bali Relax Peeling salt oil scrub, R250 for 100ml, not only increases your skin's suppleness it also provides moisture. Plus there's nothing quite as fragrant as the mixture of Himayala salt, Muru Muru butter and Monoi de Tahiti oil. Continuing with the Himayala salt theme, LCN's Spa Bali Cream Foam, R335 for 200ml, is a deep cleansing foam that uses hibiscus extract to provide velvety-soft skin.
The LCN Bali Relax range is available at selected salons and online.

Soak it up

Dermalogica's Hydro-Active Mineral Salts, recreates a great sea salt bath for soaking away the day's stress. Coriander, cinnamon and ginger will ease your body into relaxation while the skin-smoothing enzymes of sea salt and seaweed minerals help soften your skin. For an aromatherapy experience, Dermalogica's Stress Relief Treatment Oil, is a blend of calming sandalwood, lavender, orange and clary sage essentials oils, and stress busting tea tree, lemon and ylang-ylang.
Dermalogica products are available at Sorbet salons nationwide.
